What you can expect during the class: Asana: yoga postures and movement Mudras: hand positions and body gestures Pranayama: breath work / energy work Mantras: intentional, repeated sounds / chants Bandhas: constriction of a particular area of the body Drishti: directing the gaze of the eyes Shavasana: deep relaxation at the end of practice This practice builds physical strength and stamina and enhances cognitive function, emotional fitness, and spiritual connection. We practice tapas to expand our limitations and comfort zone, finding more space in our life and mind.
